I bought a ticket for the ice hockey match between Augsburg Panthers and Schwenninger Wild Wings, on Friday next week. When they met in the beginning of the season, Augsburg lost with 8-0.
Augsburg (currenlty at the 11th position in the table) has six points more than Schwenninger (currently on the 13th positionin the table) in the Deutschen Eishockey Liga, DEL. The stadium, Curt-Frenzel Stadion has a capacity of 7774 people. Augsburg Panthers was founded in 1878.
An interesting note; when I bought tickets for the football derby (FC Augsburg – FC Bayern Munich) which is later this spring, each ticket costed € 51.50. FC Bayern Munich are in the lead in the table and FC Augsburg is currently on the ninth position. The ticket for the ice hockey game was € 18.02. I compared the prices and it was the same price regarding how good the opponent was. When I saw FC Augsburg – Mainz 05 in November, I think I payed between € 20 and € 30 per ticket. Interesting how the prices are affected by how successful/ famous the clubs are and how the different sports control the pricing.
