Communication patterns which are typical for different countries. It is valuable to understand these communication patterns if you have meetings with people from other countries. After six Months here in Germany, I think both the swedish and the german communication pattern are realistic. The difference between the swedish and the german communication pattern might be too different from each other so that 3M|GTG decided to determine the contract. I have criticized the lack of internal communication, internal dialogue and follow ups at 3M|GTG. As you can see from the diagram, discussion are one important feature in the swedish communication pattern. However, one could imagine that the company’s lack of process and communication skills suit better for the swedish style, with the spiral in the middle, but it is not. The spiral is jus a way to express the need for discussion. Discussion is important for swedes.
